ISLAMABAD/ Pakistan and China have agreed to fully support each other, adopt a zero-tolerance policy against terrorism and further strengthen bilateral security cooperation in the 7th Strategic Dialogue, calling for an unconditional, comprehensive and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and supporting the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and a two-state solution, a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. The two sides agreed on a zero-tolerance policy against all forms of terrorism and called for further deepening security cooperation and counter-terrorism so that CPEC can move forward safely and smoothly. The two sides opposed double standards on terrorism. The two sides agreed to enhance coordination in development projects and build CPEC 2.0, focusing on the industrial, agricultural and mineral sectors, construction and operation of Gwadar Port, smooth operation of the Karakoram Highway and improving Pakistan's sustainable development capacity. According to the statement, it was also agreed to use the transit facility Khunjerab, which operates all year round to promote trade and people-to-people exchanges. Participation of third parties in CPEC was welcomed, provided it was in accordance with the procedures agreed upon by the two countries. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in the financial and banking sectors, and support each other in regional and international financial forums. Pakistan appreciated China's financial assistance. The two sides reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the results of the victory of World War II, upholding the principles of the UN Charter, opposing attempts to distort historical facts, and opposing the return of fascism and militancy. Pakistan and China stressed the importance of peace and stability in South Asia and agreed on the need to resolve all disputes through dialogue. Pakistan updated the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. China made it clear that this is a historical dispute that must be resolved in accordance with UN resolutions and bilateral agreements. The two sides agreed to continue to implement the China-Afghanistan-Pakistan trilateral foreign ministers' dialogue and the China-Bangladesh-Pakistan cooperation framework. The two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation and make the international system more equitable in the framework of indicators of global development, global security, global civilization and global governance.
