The story of Prophet Adam (peace be upon him)
The story of the prophets is certainly always a good example for our lives today. Therefore, learning to understand the various wisdoms of their lives will be very useful for us.
Hazrat Adam (AS) was the first man sent by Allah to earth, along with his wife Hawa (Eve). Adam is one of the 25 prophets mentioned in the Quran.
According to various narrations of various Islamic scholars, Adam lived for about 1000 years after his creation. Hazrat Adam is mentioned in several verses in the Quran, among them verses 30 to 38 of Surah Al-Baqarah (the second Surah of the Quran) and verses 11 to 25 of Surah Al-A'raf (the seventh Surah of the Quran). The children of Adam and Eve were born as twins, meaning each child was born as a boy with a girl.
The statement made by the angels was not a case of disagreeing with Allah's decision, nor was it out of jealousy for the children of Adam or as if there was some wrong idea. Allah Almighty has declared the angels to be those who do not go beyond Him in speech, meaning that they do not ask Allah for anything without His permission. When Allah informed them that He was going to create a creature on earth and that they had knowledge, the angel was only concerned that this creature (man) would cause mischief on earth.
In this verse, Allah Almighty's words "Indeed, I know what you do not know" mean "I know that the benefit of creating such a creature is greater than the harm that you have mentioned, which you do not know. I will create prophets from among them and send messengers. I will create from among them truthful, martyrs, righteous, believers, worshippers, meek and humble, scholars and lovers of Allah." Follow His messengers.
Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) was created directly from dust by the hand of Allah and his soul was immediately breathed into him by Allah Himself. In addition, Prophet Adam (peace be upon him) was also endowed with intellect which enabled him to learn, observe and understand things. This is also evident from the following verses of the Holy Quran:
Allah Almighty described Adam’s superiority over the angels, because He taught Adam the names/knowledge of everything instead of them, i.e. the names that people use, such as man, animal, sky, earth, land, sea and other species. This happened when the angels prostrated themselves to Adam. This discussion is only to show the importance of Adam’s position and the absence of knowledge of the angels regarding the creation of the Caliph when they asked about it. This shows Adam’s superiority over the angels in knowledge.
