One day, a daughter wearing a hijab will become the Prime Minister of India, says Asaduddin Owaisi
New Delhi (NNI) – Asaduddin Owaisi, head of the All India Muslim Party (MAJ), has expressed his dream of a young woman wearing a hijab becoming India's Prime Minister. Speaking at a rally in Solapur, Maharashtra, Owaisi claimed that the Constitution, drafted by Babasaheb Ambedkar, grants every Indian citizen the right to become Prime Minister, Chief Minister, or Mayor.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reacted strongly to Owaisi's remarks, criticizing him. In response, the BJP asserted that Owaisi should first appoint a Muslim woman wearing a hijab or someone with outdated views as the party's chairwoman.
