Decision to auction number plates in the names of important politicians including Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif

Peshawar (NNI) It has been decided to introduce fancy number plates in the name of political personalities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Name plates of important personalities including President Zardari, Nawaz Sharif and PTI founder will be auctioned. According to Provincial Excise and Taxation Minister Fakhar Jahan, the auction of the unique choice number plates will be held on January 27 at Nishtar Hall. The offering of luxury number plates will start at Rs 1 crore. According to the Excise Minister, the highest bidder will be given a number plate in the name of their favorite political figure. He said auctions of number plates in the names of national leadership, personalities, regions and nations would be conducted in a phased manner.

The provincial minister said that vehicle owners were very interested in the auction process and this initiative would greatly benefit the national exchequer. Residents have started submitting applications through the Dastak app to get a unique number plate. According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise and Taxation Department, an official advertisement about the luxury number plate auction has been issued, while citizens can submit applications through the Dastak app to participate in the auction. The last date for submitting applications in this regard is January 26, 2026.
